YOGA

For several years now, yoga has been a daily practice for her; it has even become the most fundamental part of Virginie’s routine, as it allows her to balance her job as an aerial acrobat with the dull bureaucracy that comes with the life of the independent artist and, last but not least, with the necessity of organizing her family life.

Following her urge to share this knowledge she proceeded with her initiation and specialization in ashtanga yoga (dynamic yoga). Thus, Virginie is now an expert teacher who will guide you with lightness and the twinkle of the eye to achieving asanas (positions which sometimes seem impossible).

ASHTANGA YOGA

Ashta = eight, Anga = Branch, Yoga = Union

The Eight Limbs of Yoga
Yama-moral ethics
Niyama-ethics in respect of self
Asana-posture
Pranayama-breath control
Pratyahara-sense control
Dharana-concentration
Dhyana-meditation
Samadhi-state of joy and peace

The particular system of Ashtanga is learned from K. Pattabhi Jois. This dynamic method has been developed with his master Sri T. Krishnamacharya.
Ashtanga is based on accurate and scalable series (a total of 6) of chains of postures with breath work called "Ujjayi", this synchronization of breathing and movement "vinyasa" frees the tensions and stress by providing a positive energy peace of mind and confidence.

Ashtanga can:
- Sculpt the figures
- Harmonize blood circulation
- Strengthen the immune system
- Toning the heart muscle
- Eliminate toxins
- Increase concentration during and outside the practice
- To consciously breathing
- To relax and reassure

It may well be considered Ashtanga as a very good exercise, and then go further and explore its spiritual depth. There is only one way to reap its many benefits: The Practice (as Guruji liked to say)
Ashtanga is aimed at a broad audience. There is no age limit, however it may be necessary to adapt the practice.
The first series is called Yoga Chikitsa (Yoga Therapy) is an extraordinary tool for healing both physically and mentally and prepares for the second serie.
The second series is called Nadi Shodana "(Purification of the nervous system, energy channels), these actions purification and tone are found in each series, however, the energy region of the spine, pelvis and hip are specifically activated in this series.
